Dr. Austin Bennett, PT, DPT, CSCS, USAW-L1

Co-Founder, Axis Sports Performance & Rehab • Sports Physical Therapist• Performance Coach • U.S. Army Veteran

Dr. Austin Bennett is a sports physical therapist, performance coach, and U.S. Army veteran dedicated to helping athletes recover from injury, maximize performance, and return to competition stronger than before. A lifelong baseball player, Austin competed at both the high school and collegiate levels, giving him firsthand insight into the physical and mental demands of high-level athletics.

Before co-founding Axis Sports Performance & Rehab, Austin coached athletes in a variety of performance settings, working with youth, high school, collegiate, and adult athletes across multiple sports. His experience as both a strength and conditioning coach and physical therapist allows him to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance, creating individualized, data-driven programs that prioritize long-term athletic development over short-term fixes.

Austin has a special interest in working with overhead athletes, baseball and softball players, tactical athletes, and active individuals. His treatment philosophy combines biomechanics analysis, objective testing, evidence-based rehabilitation, and performance training to ensure every athlete returns to play with confidence and measurable readiness to return to competition.

As a U.S. Army veteran, Austin brings the values of discipline, integrity, accountability, and resilience into every aspect of patient and athlete care. Whether guiding an athlete back from surgery, preparing a pitcher for the next season, or helping an active adult return to the activities they love, his mission is simple: restore movement, build resilience (durability), and elevate human performance.

Whether returning from a major injury, improving athletic performance, or building long-term resilience, his goal is to help athletes become stronger, more confident, and better prepared for the demands of their sport.
